I was going to do a post called “A Sceptical Rat”*, describing our futile attempts to rid our garden of an alleged infestation reported by our neighbour, the small concern noted the other day.
James laid the trap, I complained about cruelty to God’s creatures, we set foot in our garden for the very first time since we moved. And waited.
No bite, yet. You can probably follow it on You Tube.
I ended February in better spirits than I started it. The Road Map for pub re-opening (and possibly less important stuff) was both disappointing and reassuring, with 12 April set as the date for lazy sessions in pub gardens.
No actual pubs in the month, of course, but I’m afraid there was beer, as Mrs RM decided she liked having blokes bring her coconut sour DIPAs after all.
Thanks largely to Mrs RM’s “essential” purchases, I did at least make it out a bit to enjoy some improved weather that had taken a bit of time to catch up with the righteous (me), though the snow was undeniably a bonus.
On the blog I’ve brought you pictures of closed pubs in Rotherham, Attercliffe, Abbeydale Road and Stocksbridge.
And you can’t imagine how happy that makes me.
Roll on the 12th.
