Another short post from Thursday, celebrating the completion of Manchester’s Lincoln development tucked between the Town Hall and Spinningfields.
No actual pubs, though I think this bottle on the table outside the City Arms might be a radical new form of DIPA dispense.

The next part of my 5 mile journey takes me back to Maclure’s barbers where Matt was completing his brother’s cut.

Maclure’s sits flush in the Lincoln development which will provide more business to Matt and hopefully at least three more craft bars.

At the moment the nearest pub is this little gem;

“A United pub” says Matt.
After my own cut (photos only available to Patronised readers) we headed west for tea, popping in to the Rylands Library to see some culture.

The Rylands is a gem, a must for every American, and may even contain a rare copy of the 1975 GBG.

Almost as vital as the street art on the way over the Irwell, where I stopped to show the lads the home of the Mark Addy, one of Manchester’s great lost pubs.

They weren’t very impressed.
Is Lincoln the name of a great, lost Mancunian brewery?

You’re getting confused with Lincoln Green of Nottingham, I fear. I’ve never found that so must be lost.

Loved the library. Manchester is a very nice museum town.

It is indeed, and the outlying towns like Oldham, Bury and Bolton are really good. I won’t dare call Stockport an outlying town.
