RESERVED FOR THE SMIRNOFFS IN TROON

One last tick in Ayrshire, a delayed tick in Troon,

which had failed to honour its promised if unlikely opening hours of 10:30 to 02:30 the next morning on my last birthday (22 December, make a note).

I knew I’d be back, just like Boris.

Perhaps my return to No. 47 was more welcome than Boris’s will prove,

as at least I didn’t take back my £3.70 pint of Wildcat for being a bit sweet (2.5), though quite how they support five pumps I’ll never know.

It’s a corker of a local though, with young lads and dogs coming in an out for no obvious reason.

I’d love to see what trade there is to justify that 02:30 closing time, unless Troon turns into Blackpool later, though to be fair I’ve never seen a table reservation for 9:30pm in a boozer before.

Pretty clear what they’ll be drinking.

Anyhow, here’s your GBG page pinked in.
