A belated highlights package for July, the stand-out of course being the English demolition of the French in Miami. No-cared about the final.
With Mrs RM taking a break from exploring the Caucasus, there’s a bit more local travel in July,

even a trip (sort of) west to Whitchurch. Sixty-two different pubs in thirty-one days equals, well, you do the math.
Beer of the Month is the isotonic low alcohol Erdinger you get with your fried chicken in Spoons,

and I’ve no wish to know what “isotonic” means. My son has been despairing at my bottle pour, and my music taste, which has centred on the new Charli xcx album.
I have to warn you, this isn’t a cheery track;
Our Cask Camino along the Leeds to Liverpool came to an abrupt halt on the sole of Mrs RM’s foot, but at least we got an evening afternoon in Bradford at the Ginger Goose disco.

We’ll always have Bradford.
If that was a boisterous room of septuagenarians, so was Pub of the Month the Royal Oak in Chesterfield last week, perhaps the surprise of the year so far.

While there’s pubs like that, and the Corn Dolly, there’s hope.
August starts in earnest with a trip to this place;

I’ve got my t-shirt ready.
