June 2026. Yerevan.

Our final night in Armenia, Sunday proved the busiest of the lot, the streets around Republic Square heaving with families. Pavstos Buzand Street in particular seemed as classy a dining street as anywhere in London W1.
Despite the sign opposite Dors Brewpub,

it was all notably sober despite Mrs RM’s and my best efforts.

Oh, it’ll be the World Cup bringing the youngsters out to the terraces, I surmised,

the mainly female crowd showed zero interest in Spain’s thrashing of the Saudis.
A classy place, somewhere between All Bar One and (again) Brewhouse & Kitchen,

I was intrigued to see the ladies rather than lads sticking to beer, which was as competent but dull as the football.

BUT….the staff were really good, we had a mountain of free peanuts, and Mrs RM amazed me by declaring this the best version of “Over the Rainbow” when it came on*;
Please, please, forgive me for ordering that flight.
*none of the bars showing football had Lee Dixon’s funereal tones describing the action.
