So many songs with eight (8) in the title, and I choose A Tribe Called Quest.
Yes, it’s started.

Yesterday saw a nine hour journey from the Chung Hwa to a four poster bed in Kingussie accessed by a secret code, a journey beset with disasters such as a detour through Grantham, flooded motorway in Coatbridge, and Mrs RM playing M People.

Baa Baa Toure expects four poster beds all the time now.
Slightly less grand, Wick brings you down to earth after a glorious run through Sutherland this morning.
But at least it’s got the world’s shortest street (it’s a con).

It won’t have a Spoons much longer, it closes on Sunday leaving Wick bereft of bargain Tennents and bacon baps.
The staff offered no clue as to the future, but they leave a cheery Spoons offering a very decent Portobello (3) in the absence of Doom Bar,

and a characteristically on message note about our Queen.

You can rely on Tim Martin to reflect the mood of the nation.
What have BrewDog said ?
Anyhow, the last eight (8).
Does he heck as like.

Greetings from the Spoons in Hawick, which is heaving and the beer is excellent, to the point that they’ve just run out.

The 80/ was awful when I was in Hawick the other month, but I loved the town. You should be in Rousay tomorrow.

Belhaven 80/- was all they had left but it was on cracking form.

Martin I feel a little cursed that I’m on the road just as you reach the triumphant conquering moment, and doing a poor job following along as the final pubs fall.
Hats off to you slaying the mighty GBG— it really is a monumental achievement, and I don’t want to miss a moment of it!

Thanks Pat. I see Intuitive run the Goblin Ha and the Kings Arms, Melrose, both smart pub/hotels, so good news for Wick.
