Not a post as such, more a serious question ?
When DOES lockdown end, exactly, and when can I go to the pub (any pub) again ?
I know Tier 3 means pubs are closed and Tier 2 means pie and pint deals only, which only leaves me with a beer in Tier 1 (probably that means Cornwall and the Isle of Wight, wherever that is).
But let’s assume there’s SOME pubs in Tier 1; are they going to be open on the 2nd itself, or will I have to stand outside the door ’till Thursday the 3rd ?
The official UK Government website describes the local restriction tier system that will be in place from Wednesday 2 December. That sounds promising.
But YOU try and find the definitive guidance. Twitter is full of bemused businesses tonight.
What on earth is 12:01 am, anyway ? That sounds like a minute past midnight to me i.e. 00:01.
A very helpful response (I jest) from an untypically informal Gov.UK here.
So, should I be waiting outside a Tier 1 Spoons at 9am on the 2nd ?
It’s not just pubs. My lad is desperate to start cutting hair again in Manchester, and my hair now looks more like Ian Gillan than it has since 1981. I might be first in the line.
