AND THE WINNER IS…

It’s the most hotly-contested event of the month.

Who won “Guess my favourite 10 counties“.

The process to determine the winner of the competition to win the Prosecco and craft (Mrs RM drank the Speckle Hen) has been subject to a number of legal challenges, mainly over the size of the hat from which the winning entry was drawn.

Unfortunately, due to Lockdown rules, no witnesses were allowed, but I have made a video of the draw for you.

Camera work by James, who refused to be in the video.

So, a surprise win there for Dave Southwork, who is welcome to collect his prize from our house any time before the 2nd December, after which Mrs RM will pounce.

  1. They were selling those Soviet-era hats, when I visited Estonia, twelve years ago. I didn’t buy one, as they didn’t look genuine Red Army issue. Perhaps they originate from that repro factory in Wrexham, where all the imitation Bass mirrors come from?

  2. Bah! Absolutely gutted to reflect on the fact that for the 6th successive year, I didn’t actually enter this competition. As I always say, it’s not the taking part that counts, it’s the winning, so until I’ve managed to square this hexagonal circle, that’s how it shall remain…

    Did Sean Connery bequeath that to you in his will?

    “but I have made a video of the draw for you.”

    LOL! Good thing it was James assisting and not Mrs RM as I distinctly heard “my Ex” at the 19 second mark! 🙂

    As you didn’t mention which year I think Dave should be able to collect after the Covid Crisis is gone.*

    * – so… 2029?

    Cheers
