Greetings from Laviska Gorne, centre of the WiFi free world. I knew you’d want to see my birthday presents, which look rather similar to Mrs RMs, oddly enough. Beer from the bottom of a Polish coal mine; report to follow.
Possible craft tonight in the next town, but Laviska itself is a modern place of flats and pubs in that rare nissan hut style we love so much.
I did find plenty of the ubiquitous Polish lager signs today, but stumbled on an unexpected home of craft in the Tesco Express.
A prominent display too, equal to the cans of lager, and some very interesting flavoured beers here. Krakow cafes were full of these bottles. Cheap as chips.
How quickly they’ll find their way into the basic bars and pizzerias of the real Poland is something else altogether.
That place looks almost as enticing as the weird prefab tram terminus in Prague that serves uniquely weird local beers

Prvni Pivni Tramway, a complete marmite place (still had serious amount of smokers when I was in). Looks like a derelict public toilet from the outside. http://www.prvnipivnitramway.cz/ You may have to resort to smoke signals to interact with the staff.

What more does one need for Christmas? Foreign travel and exotically labeled beer.

I’m feeling quite Christmassy now. And I am Scrooge. Poland is great, particularly if you’re travelling with a Polish lady to interpret.

That is a huge advantage when traveling.
