One of my main motivations for early retirement this year was to free up time to complete trips to all the current Good Beer Guide pubs. Some people tick beers; I tick pubs.
As of today I’ve been to around 4,000 of the current Guide pubs, or 80%. Each year the new edition brings a sizeable chunk of new entries which makes this a moving target.
Next week I get a week to visit a swathe of pubs in central Scotland, always a logistical challenge. My dilemma is; do I do them in halves or use up all my quarterly Wetherspoon vouchers – TWELVE new Spoons await in Glasgow & surrounds.
My first trip to Glasgow for 10 years; a return to King Tuts is a must too.
