PINK LANE

July 2026. Newcastle.

One thing about Tyneside; just like London or Genoa, you’ll always find something new on a trip.

This time, it’s Pink Lane and the Catholic cathedral.

St Mary’s is a NCSS 4 joy,

the highlight the stained glass showing Newcastle’s heritage (microbreweries oddly missing).

A rare venue without Untapped check-in, though I did wonder what beer was in these locked-up vessels.

Looks more like Stonehenge Sign of Spring than Bass.

Just time for a rare newbie, the Mosaic Tap having just relocated to Pink Lane.

A pleasant modern beer bar, bustling mid-afternoon, with a touch of the Port Street Beer House,

Blackpool Jane wanted to hear about non-alcoholic beer that isn’t Heinken zero, and there was loads of good stuff here, though Matt was less than impressed with my pouring.

Northern head, innit ?
