Only 30 different pubs, and 10 Italian bars in a month of just one revisit; the Fargate proving its popularity with Sheffield folk during trips with Ian and Rich (two top Pub Men), who would have approved of this pump clip.

February was one of those months, looking a bit lighter on the map due to eight whole days in northern Italy,

which provided a new country tick for me, and an exceptional Monaco blog for Mrs RM.

But it was, once again, Genoa that had the wow factor, and not just for the calamari.

Back in the UK for some rather duller travel, though I notice that my post on the lone tree in Stonnall is now the first thing you find on your search engine, so don’t knock dull travel.

I mean, even hard to love Timperley has its attractions,

and the spicy beef in “Street Food” there was almost a match for Sang Lung.

Pub of the Month, 20 years from my last visit, goes to Letchworth’s Arena Tavern, on a nostalgic return,

while Beer of the Month was, obviously, the 9% Tennents Super in Turin. Mrs RM is just back from Rome, where 9% would be a boys bitter.

In March, we shall be entertaining beer loving guests from Chicago. But not that one.
