WILL PAUL BE TEMPTED BY THE DIPAs IN HINCKLEY’S ELBOW ROOM* ?

April 2025. Hinckley.

All that Bass taking its toll now, but by law there has to be one GBG craft bar selling LocAles to counteract the evil of the national brown slop,

and Elbow Room has established itself over nearly a decade as Hinckley’s purveyor of CAMRA-endorsed indie beer.

Paul gamely surveyed the mass of information on the beer boards,

though in truth both Paul and I were a bit beered out by now, so I only had a half of Azvex Unreadable Metal Logos while the Other Mudge tried vainly to check-in water in Untappd.

Look, you can see what it’s like,

but they do get a mixed crowd here, it’s a bit like my own Walkley Beer Co.

And if I hadn’t been on Bass duties that 11% Imperial Stout would have been more tempting.

And if nothing else, it was open to when the two Proper Pubs north of town, were firmly shut.

And a half of DIPA in an open bar will always beat a pint of Bass you can’t have in an open pub.

*No

      1. There’s a ‘new’ pub in Stafford that offers three thirds and a pork pie for £6 on a Monday.
I intend asking for my three thirds of Golden Glow to be in the same glass.
