April 2024. Waterbeach.

Just a night in Waterbeach as the sun finally popped it’s head out the day before we headed off somewhere promising 31 degrees 🌞.

Time for an overdue pint at The Sun,

which was showing the Arsenal slip up against the Villa in the public so we nipped in the lounge. You know the lounge by now.

Helen had some beers you’ve heard of on,

and while Mrs RM had a chat about cruises I took a sip and went “Blimey that’s good” or words to that effect.

The best 6X since that unexpected NBSS 4 in the Blue Anchor in Aberthaw.

And I told the landlady it was good, and it’s heartening to say The Sun, just  over a year after the tragic death of landlord Andrew, is serving beer as good as ever.

And the spicy squid waiting for us in the Chung Hwa was just as astonishing.

Never take your local, or your Chinese takeaway, or Wadworths 6X, for granted.
