March 2024. Whitby.
Yep. You can probably see the problem already.
A new GBG tick, a GBG revisit up the steps, fish and chips, a view across the water,

and a gorgeous sunset.

Let’s not overdo things, just the one (1) bonus pre-emptive, as tipped by all the best Pub Men.

Beer O’Clock has been open just over a year, and if it looks like nearly every other small pub with “beer”, “cask”, “hoppy” or “tap” in the title then that’s never been a problem for CAMRA members.

The beer’s the thing, and BO’C has crystal clear beer from quality brewers,

poured by a lovely, chatty North-Easterner* and enjoyed by folk who like beer.

It’s very quirky (but not quirky den, that one’s taken), and gets bonus points for the John Smiths clock,

and a quality loo game.

Cats, pelicans (or is it toucans ?),

and dogs.

They really, really, like dogs here. If you like dogs too, you’ll love it.
*Someone will now tell me that Whitby has the same latitude as Newcastle.
