But first, Bognor, no more than ticking over in the last week of August. Blame the British summer.





The Dog & Duck was already open when I arrived at 4.58. You might assume that’s a good thing but tickers get almost as annoyed at early openers as not openers



I took no notes, and there was no cask on but the guvnor and the crafty keg beer were superb.
And sometimes that’s enough for me.
Isn’t the “weird pole which serves no purpose” there to warn tickers approaching by boat to mind their groyne?
