FARNHAM 3 of 5. THE NELSON ARMS

July 2025. Farnham.

An 8 pub day out, artisanally (?) curated by Citra Mick who cruelly denied us the delights of Doom Bar in his home town.

Farnham had much for the Pub Man who likes beer he’s heard of; Fullers, Youngs, Tim Taylor.

But it didn’t always have a lot of custom, whether for the cask or the cider.

But the pubs were cosy, the company and bar staff charming, and the TEA in the Nelson Arms a model of NBSS 3 adequacy.

The less said about drinking at beer barrels, the better.

I enjoyed the Olde Worlde touches of the Nelson,

but isn’t it irritating when someone takes photos of you in pubs ?

(I’m more upset Mick caught me drinking a half. Reputation in tatters etc etc)
