April 2025. Tonbridge.

I’m not used to this late night drinking. Arrive in Tonbridge at 9 on a Saturday night, quick pint of Harvey’s, then next door to the craft bar.
Oh dear, Fuggles has a Huyghe tap takeover. You remember Huyghe…

To be honest, I thought it was Danish for cosy blankets, not the lot with the pink elephant that gives you a hangover.
I’ve learned my Delirium lesson, and was staying sensible, so after a worrying long time surveying the beer board,

I end up with a sensible Lost and Grounded Spring Protagonist (a chewy NBSS 3) and a less sensible Beak for Mrs RM

Isn’t that squat Fuggles glass on the right great ? No, really.
We love the Fuggles pubs. As Pauline just said in the comments, they’re very welcoming and seem to cater for all ages, despite the modern beer line-up and long trestle table.
New Order’s “Age of Consent” plays at just the right volume, we share one of their signature cheese and onion toasties,

and I’m fairly sure, but not certain, we stayed till kicking out.
Crucially, we resisted the 16% Danish cherry wine though…

New Order’s cheese and onion toasties? 🙂

Yes, Andy, you remember they lost millions on those Blue Monday 12″ sleeves and had to branch out into toastie endorsement to raise cash?

A bit early for paninis, I suppose.

I think their first venture into panini’s was the 1990 World cup edition.

The Lost and Grounded Spring Protagonist, was drinking well, on Easter Monday, and provided a well-deserved, and most comely pint following an abortive visit to Marden.

Yes I saw you shared my good fortune in picking that pint.
