November 2024. Rye.
While I stay in Waterbeach and dream of crossing the county border, Mrs RM is down in Rye for the month, with proper WiFi and Harvey’s Sussex.
Jealous ? Me ?

“Do a pub crawl of Rye and send me pics, I can enjoy it by proxy, like my own readers do”, I say.
Bless her, she picked three pubs I haven’t been in since we got a caravan here.

The Old Bell, Standard and Cinque Ports aren’t in the GBG, which makes this research even more valid.

I doubt Mrs RM will make a surreptitious pub photography career, but as a lone female enjoying a pint she’s in an ideal place to see casual sexism in places.

Ah, there we go.
Mrs RM has left Untappd, but her descriptions are still cutting edge.

Better than her spelling, anyway.

Who are the Flying Pockets ? A tribute band to your a capella heroes from 83 ?
As a “woman”, Mrs RM gets to go in the ladies of the Waterworks micro, and capture this gem.

As valid a contribution to the gender debate as I’ve seen in years.
Classic. More guest posts!

Her post on the Oxford Bar in Edinburgh was one of my most read. She should so more but she’s always too drunk to focus.

You may be banned from Rye if she goes to town much more.

As I got up to leave, after my third pint of the day, a lady, whom I don’t know at all, said to me “You stuck around. You usually leave after two”
Interesting places, are pubs.
