June 2023. Rochester.
Finally, finally, a last Kent GBG tick for the year.

What a shame I’d been so distracted on the way from Strood to Three Sheets to the Wind,

to such an extent I can remember almost nothing about it.

Almost. I’m not sure what I was expecting with talk of an Austrian themed pub, something like that ski bar in Macclesfield ?
Beams out the back,

more beams and a couple of tables out front.

And a wonderful pint of Canterbury Ales (I guess, who cares), cool and rich (NBSS 3.5+). The last pint in a county rarely disappoints.

But that’s all side fluff. All that really matters about 3STTW is the two young folk running it, who couldn’t have been more welcoming and cheery.
They’d just taken delivery of Keaton Henson’s new LP.

I like to think I know everything about modern music, but Keaton who ?
“He’s brilliant !” they said.
And so he is.
Better than anything the BBC have put on from Worthy Farm these last three days.
Modern music is brilliant.
