Rather boringly, we repeated the Great Bath Crawl of 2018 and nipped next to the Bell, another classic.
3 years ago I raved about the colour, the life, the soundtrack and the coffee.
Despite the temptations on the blackboard (love blackboards),
I asked again for the proper black coffee (NBCSS 4.5) and headed for the benches.
An hour later, we were still there, along with half a dozen other groups of middle-aged drinkers so I thought I’d better go for the Parkway Porter. WHY OH WHY didn’t I go for the Otter again.
Boring Brown Bitter in the Bell ? Not a bit of it.
Oh, apart from this one.
Shame about the bloke with the Smiths “This Charming Man” ringtone, mind.

Is chalk being rationed? Can’t think of another reason that you would stick bits of paper on a blackboard.
