I’ve given them enough praise over the years, but I can’t let Wetherspoon’s discontinuation of draught Punk IPA go without a hissy fit. I’m just glad Mrs RM isn’t here.
The anomaly that saw draught available before flights, certainly at Stansted and Edinburgh, was one of the few benefits of air travel these days.
Cruelly, it’s still on the menu, and £4.50 was never that bad a price for Punk. I had hoped the loss of the dull This Is Lager was rationalisation enough.
Is there really anyone who’d rather a Shipyard at the same price ?
Anyway, there’s always a cutting edge range of real ale to choose from:-
I was recently impressed with Wetherspoons at Liverpool airport RM. There really was a cutting edge selection of local real ales on the bar, well kept and reasonably priced too.

Have breakfasted, several times at the Windmill at Stansted Airport, but it’s always been rather too early for a beer. I have seen plenty of others indulging though!
I presume you are off to Nuremberg. If so have a good trip and give my regards to Erlangernick, if you manage to meet up with him.

Never too early for a beer Paul, unless the choice is that poor. They made such an effort with the design too !
Will give Nick your regards; I’m more interested in Erlangen than the Nberg. Fest and this trup is more about my son’s competition in the backwaters of Franconia !

You might wonder why it is two BD beers they have dropped?

Not a fan because of the taste or the mindless publicity machine Peter ? This is Lager no loss.
